Helping Children Communicate with Confidence

Communication is more than speech. It is how children connect with family, build friendships, participate in school, express their thoughts, and engage with the world around them.

Communication Through Play: Finding What Motivates Your Child

Stop Wasting Money on Toys That End Up Collecting Dust.

Have you ever:
  • Spent $50, $100, or even hundreds of dollars on a toy everyone recommended...
  • Only to watch your child play with the box instead?
  • Purchased learning materials that seemed educational but never held your child's interest?
  • Felt overwhelmed by the endless number of toys, books, apps, and resources available?
  • Wondered why your child is obsessed with one particular item but ignores everything else?

Exceptional, creative, and neurodiversity-affirming SLP

I cannot recommend Ms. Sheba highly enough. Finding the right support for a 13-year-old autistic teenager can be a journey, but she has been an absolute blessing. My son is always incredibly excited before every single session and truly looks forward to seeing her. Under her care, his confidence has absolutely blossomed.

As a professional, she brings incredible value to families:

Innovative strengths-based therapy. Instead of using rigid, outdated routines, she masterfully builds her sessions around my son’s unique creative interests. By brilliantly incorporating his favourite characters, logos, singing, filming and storytelling, she makes communication naturally fun and deeply meaningful.

Neurodiversity-affirming care. She respects how my son works and empowers him to find his true voice. Her approach makes him feel safe, valued, and understood for exactly who he is.

Measurable real-world progress. The results of her dedication are clear. I can visibly see my son initiating and building more and more conversations with his friends, teachers and family, a beautiful milestone to witness.

Whole-family empowerment. Her transformational services reach far beyond the session. She acts as a true collaborative partner, giving the entire family the concrete tools and strategies to connect and support him at home.

If you are a parent searching for a highly skilled, creative, and deeply caring SLP who genuinely knows how to unlock your child’s absolute best, look no further than Ms. Sheba. She is a phenomenal practitioner!

She gave my daughter her voice, and gave me hope.

I have known Sheba Ma’am for 7 years, and she will always hold a special place in our hearts. She was my daughter’s very first speech therapist. When we met her, my daughter was 3.5 years old. She could speak, but she didn’t use words. She expressed everything through actions, and her aggression broke my heart because I couldn’t understand what she was trying to tell me. I was scared and felt completely lost.

In just two months, I heard my daughter using words instead of actions. She couldn’t sit for even 10 minutes when her classes began, but under her care she sat through the full session, listened, responded, and started asking questions.

Her patience, her gentle approach, and her genuine love for children made all the difference. She understood my daughter in a way I had never seen before, and she supported me just as much, never once making me feel judged. She was there every time I needed her.

Since then, my daughter has moved to a different city and has seen many therapists. Yet whenever there is anything about my daughter, big or small, I still tell her first. That is how special she is to us. Every child who comes to her is blessed, and every parent is fortunate to have her. I recommend her with all my heart.

Frequently Asked Questions

My child is a late talker. Should I be worried?

Every child develops at their own pace. While some children may simply need more time, delayed speech and language development can sometimes indicate that additional support would be beneficial.

The earlier concerns are identified, the earlier families can receive guidance and support. Even if therapy is not needed, a consultation can provide reassurance, education, and recommendations tailored to your child.

When in doubt, ask. It’s always okay to seek professional advice.

No. Families are welcome to contact Sheba Speech Services directly if they have questions or concerns.

Sometimes a brief conversation can help parents better understand whether an assessment, consultation, therapy, or simple monitoring may be appropriate.

Depending on client needs and availability, services may be provided:

In clinic

Virtually

At daycare or preschool settings (with permission)

Through school consultation

At home for consultation or assessment when clinically appropriate
